Terms and conditions

Terms for using univsense.com: general information, not an offer; engagements run under a signed scope; AI agents may read; New York law applies.

Who we are

univsense.com is operated by UnivSense Inc, 2-21 Malt Dr, Long Island City, NY 11101, USA ("UnivSense", "we"). These terms apply to your use of this website. By using the site you accept them; if you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Use of the site

You may read the site, link to it and share what you find. You may not interfere with it, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or the systems behind it, or use it to send unlawful, harmful or deceptive material to us or to anyone else.

Information, not an offer

Everything on the site is general information about UnivSense and the services we offer. It is not an offer, a quotation or advice for your specific situation, and nothing on it creates a contract between us. Client engagements are governed by a separate signed agreement that sets out the scope, fees and terms of the work; where that agreement and these terms differ, the agreement applies.

We try to keep the site accurate and current, but we do not promise that it is complete or free of errors, and we may change it at any time.

Intellectual property

The text, design, graphics and code of the site belong to UnivSense Inc or its licensors. You may quote from it and link to it, with attribution to UnivSense. You may not reproduce the site or substantial parts of it, or present it as your own, without our written permission. Names and logos of other companies mentioned on the site belong to their owners.

The site links to third-party services, including hand-off links that open ChatGPT or Claude with a prefilled prompt. Those services are run by their providers under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control them and are not responsible for what they do or for the answers they give.

AI agents and automated access

AI assistants, crawlers and other automated readers are welcome to read the site. We publish Markdown versions of every page, an llms.txt index and a machine-readable catalog for that purpose. Automated readers should follow robots.txt, including its Content-Signal line, which currently allows search and AI-assisted answers but not training on the content.

Nothing on the site can be submitted automatically: there are no forms or APIs to post to. Contact and scope requests must come from a person, by email or phone. An agent may draft the message, but a person sends it and is responsible for its contents.

Disclaimers

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about it, express or implied, including that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, or that it is fit for a particular purpose. Any results or outcomes mentioned on the site are not a promise of results for you.

Limitation of liability

The site is free to use. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the site or your reliance on it, including indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where that applies.

Liability under a client engagement is governed by the signed agreement for that engagement, not by these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute about the site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, any mandatory protections under the law of the country where you live are not affected.

Changes

We may update these terms. This page and its last-updated date show the current version, which is the one that applies. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
